Journal Entry 1 by JoS100 from Olympia, Washington USA on Tuesday, March 23, 2004
The journal of a semi-literate survivor of an unspecified catastrophe that has destroyed civilization as we know it. The society that is developing in what is left of England is tribal and superstitious. The book is remarkable in its story and its presentation. Here's the first sentence: "On my naming day when I come 12 I gone front spear and kilt a wyld boar he parbly ben the las wyld pig in the Bundel Downs any how ther hadn't ben one for a long time befor him nor I aint looking to see none agen." You have to move your lips to read this book!

This is my personal copy. I'll look for a duplicate to release. I actually did release this book many years ago when I picked up a young Native American hitch-hiker and took him home so he could have a bath, a meal, and a warm bed for the night. I sent him off the next day with my treasured copy of Riddley Walker because he had said he was embarrassed to go back to school because that he couldn't spell.
