Great premise and started out interesting but the course changed about midway through and it lacked appeal.

As I was putting books out a few weeks back, a Starbucks customer was going through the basket of books I had. She took 2 or 3 and said that though she hasn't joined bookcrossing, she likes having the shelf there so she can pick up books and bring them back. She called it her own personal library. Anyhow, I ran into her today, and she told me that sh'd left the books she'd taken in Philadelphia. I, of course, had not written sown the numbers, but think this was one of them. If I am wrong, and it shows up here in Charleston again, mea culpa. If not, consider that it traveled from Starbookz to Philly. Pretty good!

One of the multitudes of books in bumma's room when cancer claimed her June 28. She asked me to release her library for her. I do so in her memory and in her honor. She was the one who instilled my love of reading and of books. She was a fantastic mom and I miss her.

My project to distribute bumma's books was waylaid by the tragedy of my brother's murder and his wife's injuries suffered in a horrible attack and robbery in India. We are adjusting to the Eric and bumma-sized holes in our hearts, and building a bridge of love and memories across them to our life without them. Thank God for memories. This book was part of bumma's collection (though she may or may not have read it. It was in her room when she passed away.) I am sending it on to DeeOhTea now. Travel well, little book.
