A former FBI agent needs a new heart. He gets one and then gets pulled into a murder investigation by the sister of the murdered woman against his doctors advice. Stress could kill him by rejecting the heart. A movie with Clint Eastwood in the starring role was made of this book. Of course the book was better but the movie wasn't bad.
