This book got boxed up in anticipation of a move, but then the fates intervened and I didn't end up moving, and recently started unpacking a few things into my new office, including this book! I really wanted to read a few BC books before heading off to an Unconvention this month, and this looked like a beautiful place to start.

First off, I absolutely LOVE the cover art - I had recently seen some of this artists (Victo Ngai) work on Tumblr and have become a bit of a fan! I also thoroughly enjoyed the story, it's always nice to get a strong female lead in an adventure story, and although I did see where some of the story was going, I was still super engaged. The ending was also great!

Discoverylover is the perfect librarian (or maybe just our tastes in books are very similar) - every book she recommends I really enjoy.

A beautiful story, and beautifully illustrated with map elements around the edge of every page.

A few too many on my To Be Read pile so can't promise to read it immediately but I definitely like the look of it. Now that I have seen what some BookCrossers whose opinions I respect have thought about it must raise it a little higher on Mt TBR.
Special thanks to FC and DL.
