Using for the Book Swap game at the Loughborough Uncon.
Picked up in the book swap game at the uncon. Tactically stole so I knew I would get to keep it !
Took this as a holiday read to Barcellona. I really enjoyed it, it was an easy read, gave an interesting story about something I knew nothing about and kept me suitably amused. Now passed to hubby.

Diverted from the bookcrossing zone today as Gill confirmed it's good and it's been on my wishlist for a while - hooray! Will be going on the end of the TBR however, so it might be a while before it's journalled again!

I picked this up because I'd heard Poodlesister talk about how much she loves it :)
I found it a quick and engaging read, funny and sad at the same time.

This book is labelled as "novel for young adults", and a part of me feels like I'm a bit too old for this book. The book was fairly OK, but not a favourite. And it annoys me a bit that part of the title is "The Absolutely True Diary" when it's a novel and therefore a work of fiction. That text makes it sound like it's a biography, rather than a work of fiction. I would have prefered if they had skipped "absolutely true".
Right before I started reading the book I learned that is has been banned in several schools in USA. Yes, the book mentions some serious topics, but not on a level that justifies a ban in my opinion!
