This is an audio book I picked up real cheap somewhere... I thought I'd register a few of those and release them. I read three of Forsyth's best-known books (Day of theJackal, The Odessa File, and The Dogs of War) when I was in the service, and found them to be among the best in the genre.
As is my habit, I won't release this until I've given it a good listen.

Telling the story of a coup in Russia, while this probably isn't the best of Forsyth's books, it rings with authenticity nonetheless. It connects the main American character with the Aldrich Ames scandal at the CIA as it follows his career and that of a neo-fascist who almost takes over the country. It also has a lot of interesting details about life in Russia and attitudes towards minorities such as Chechens.
Caught this audio book at a delightful Meetup last night. Looking forward to visiting Frederick Forsyth after recalling earlier books in our conversations, also am in a Russian phase just now. After I listen to it I'll send it on.....
Icon has plenty of twists and turns and as I listened on Sunday I visualized Moscow scenes and recognized Forsyth's accurate overview of the spy world, Russian dynamics in recent times....Good historical fiction, Am sending it on out of state.
