From the back cover: It's about time someone cleaned up the streets... A lone sniper is terrorising Glasgow, executing notorious criminals with a single shot. The media call him the Dark Angel, a vigilante enforcing much needed order, but to the police he is a murderer plain and simple. But then other victims get in the Dark Angel's line of fire. Police photographer Tony Winter has seen more than his fair share of dead bodies. So when he notices something in one of his negatives that the forensic team has missed, he launches an investigation of his own. DS Rachel Narey is smarting after being transferred from the sniper case onto a seemingly routine enquiry into the death of a prostitute. But she can't help but notice how every lead draws her back to the sniper. As Winter and Narey delve deeper, their hunt for the truth will lead them into the sights of a killer dangerously out of control.
The first of this author that I've read, but it was certainly good enough to read some of the others in the series.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
This has languished on my shelf for some time. A great read set in the mean streets of Glasgow. An interesting hero with a very challenging occupation fuelled by a childhood trauma. Recommended.

I picked this up while catching up with other bookcrossers in Wellington.
I am putting in on a bookshelf in an apartment block, on the day New Zealand takes another COVID plan forward. No gatherings greater than 100, and many restrictions if you are not vaccinated.
