Murakami wants to reinvent the novel. This is a very modern novel, and not his best, but I like his style. Either the reader likes his style and his observations of contemporary Japanese society, or they will leave the reader completely cold - there is no in between.
Picked up at the Vancouver Lower Mainland Bookcrossing Meetup.
