They say don't judge a book by its cover, and to that, I would add don't judge a book by its title. Cover and title combine to convey rather a twee and lightweight impression, when actually this well crafted book has a lot to say about identity, truth and belonging.

Beautifully written, the characters are engaging (if not always likeable) and the plot unfolds nicely - although with perhaps too big a coincidence at the end for realism. However, I was so thoroughly taken by this book, I could let it pass!
