Who needs television with this image-packed epic? Dante's "The Inferno" is a wonderfully poetic journey of self-reflection through the dark depths of Hell.

I read selected excerpts of this book with my World Literature class at a well-regarded college preparatory school. One student, the one to whom this book was given, asked me after class if he could borrow my copy so that he could finish reading it.
