Bookray Rules

1. Reading has to be relaxing, I find. So I'm not going to set a rule that you have to finish the book within one month or within three weeks. But, of course it's not preferable that the book will stall somewhere. Please keep in mind others are waiting to read the book so keeping it for two months is not appropriate either. If you don’t think you will be able to read the book in a timely manner, please let me know. I can move you further down the list, if necessary.

2. When the book arrives, please let us know that you received it, by making a journal entry.

3. Start reading :-) When you're more than halfway through the book, PM the next person for their address.

4. When you've finished the book, make another journal entry with your thoughts.

5. Release the book to the next person on the list.

6. The last person on the list may release the book in the manner of their choosing!

7. Have Fun & Happy Reading!

Journal Entry 7 by HallieK from Austin, Texas USA on Thursday, April 7, 2005
This was a good one. I haven't read any of the other Full series. I like that you know what everyone's doing and you have to wait for the characters to put it all together. This was a fun, fast read. Thanks for sharing!

I have the next address and will mail it out at the end of this week.

Journal Entry 8 by danesnboxers from Union, Missouri USA on Monday, April 25, 2005

I agree this was an enjoyable fast read. It wasn't a really complicated, in depth character plot and was totally relaxing. I am mailing it to lisabb2 tomorrow.

Just got this in the mail today along with Full Tilt! I'm very excited to read them - I love Janet Evanovich! I have one before them, and then I'll get started!

Journal Entry 13 by timollie5502 from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA on Sunday, June 26, 2005
I really enjoyed this one too! I have yet to read anything by Janet Evanovich that I haven't liked, and laughed out loud at atleast once!!
I love Muffin... she cracks me up!

Mailed to CheriePie on 6/27 with Full Tilt.

Journal Entry 14 by CheriePie from Campbell, California USA on Thursday, June 30, 2005
Received this one, along with Full Tilt today. I've got a few other books here to get to before these, including Full House, which is the first book in this series, before starting on these two. (Apparently, it's not really necessary to read these in order, but since I aquired a copy of Full House from PaperBackSwap, I figured I'd read them in order after all.)

Journal Entry 15 by CheriePie from Campbell, California USA on Thursday, July 14, 2005
This is the third book of Janet Evanovich's Full series.

I didn't like this one quite as much as Full Tilt. Like it's predecessor, it was a quick and fun read. The part with the preacher Harlan's sermon seemed to drag on a bit too long. There were a few twists and turns to the mystery, but nothing too exciting. Fortunately, Evanovich's writing can hold even the dullest story together. I liked the dog Fleas, he added a more personal level to the characters. I'm not sure why Jamie is denying and dragging out her attraction to Max though... I mean, get with the program girl! Live for the moment! You've got this gorgeous hunk drooling all over you, and you're dragging your heels because you're wondering if it's the right thing to do?! Whether your feelings for him are just lust?! So what?! This aspect of her character really bugged me, so I was glad to finally see her letting down her resolve in this latest book and stop being such a stick-in-the-mud!

(Haven't heard back from Faithful-Reader yet, so I'll probably be sending Full Tilt, Full Speed, and Full Blast to her all together.)

Journal Entry 16 by CheriePie from Campbell, California USA on Monday, July 18, 2005

I have all three books in the book ray now and will get on them right away.

Journal Entry 18 by Faithful-Reader from Aurora, Illinois USA on Wednesday, August 24, 2005
Thanks for including me in this ray !! I just love Evanovich's style of writing and her ability to inject humor into her books. I did enjoy this series - it was a great change of pace though I think overall, I prefer the Stephanie Plum series. I have mailed this book to cyber-brarian on Monday. My DH picked this up at the post office for me on 9/3 ... from Faithful-Reader in IL as part of this bookray. I've been sick for the last couple weeks ... but will do my best to get this read and passed on to the next person. You can track my reading progress on my bookshelf profile.

c. 2003 -- 346 pages -- Paperback -- #3 in Full series

Front Cover: The ride of a lifetime began the moment they met ...

Back Cover: Dear Reader: Welcome to the world of Jamie Swift and Max Holt! My good friend Charlotte Hughes and I have teamed up to create a series of books featuring these 2 characters, and they've taken on a life of their own! These books are not set in the same world as my Stephanie Plum novels, but what they have in common are lovable, dysfunctional characters, villains you love to hate, and a cross-eyed way of looking at life.

Jamie and Max have intense chemistry -- even though they drive each other crazy. Max thinks Jamie is a magnet for trouble and Jamie thinks Max is the most annoyingly sexy, mysterious man she's ever met. She knows she should stay away from him. But boy, oh boy, do the sparks fly when they get together. Jamie is a newspaper owner from a small Southern town. And in Full Speed, she's after the story of a lifetime. Max Holt is right in the middle of that story, and so Jamie tracks down the millionaire playboy, forcing him to take her on as partner. What follows is a story of a corrupt minister, a gang of mobsters on the loose, a hound dog called Fleas, a wise-cracking computer genius, and lots of love in the fast lane. Not to mention plenty of steamy action between Jamie and Max.

So have fun with Full Speed. We're going to sign off now and get back to creating more romantic adventures between Jamie Swift and Max Holt. Enjoy, and happy reading! -- Janet Evanovich and Charlotte Hughes

I finished reading this today. I always enjoy this series about Max Holt and Jamie Swift. Muffin the car reminds me of Kit (the David H. TV show) ... but with more attitude. ;-) I agree with the others that Fleas, the bloodhound adds another whole hilarious element to the story. I look forward to the other books in this series ... and started reading "Full Blast" right away.
