The Art of Racing in the Rain: A Novel
3 journalers for this copy...
Enzo loves his owner, an amateur race car driver Danny, and Danny's family: wife Eve and daughter Zoe. Enzo vows to protect the family as he observes the family life like a sagely guru. At times, he feels frustrated that he cannot speak. If he could, he could have warned Eve about the tumor he smells growing in her, before any doctor or machine can detect it. But he cannot speak, and all he can do is to give his support to Danny as he goes through the toughest time of his life.
I love this book; this is the second copy I get for sharing with my BC friends. The story makes me cry, it makes me laugh. I feel depressed one moment, uplifted the next. Enzo is the best dog there ever is!!
“The Art of Racing in The Rain has everything: love, tragedy, redemption, danger, and--most especially--the canine narrator Enzo. This old soul of a dog has much to teach us about being human.” ~ Sara Gruen, Author of Water for Elephants
"...one of those stories that may earn its place next to Richard Bach's 'Jonathan Livingston Seagull,' Paulo Coelho's 'The Alchemist,' and Yann Martel's 'Life of Pi'...It's magic indeed..." ~ The Portland Oregonian
"Sweet, moving, sometimes shattering, yet quite unsentimental: a gentle triumph." ~ Seattle

Thanks Azuki for this book. It was so nice to meet you at the Bookcrossing Convention. Hopefully we will meet again in our travels.
Really liked this book. One of the best I have read in a while. I was really unsure about it to start with, but enjoyed it through to the end.

A lovely story., very touchable.
Haven’t thought this will be a good reading for me because I prefer crime novels. But I really enjoyed it.
