WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I read this for a readers' group and while several of the group members thought it was great, I didn't enjoy it very much. However, I did read it all the way through and enjoyed the discussion at the group. Give it a try and think for yourself. Bring it back to the phone box, or another bookcrossing point. I left it while on a bike ride, and took The Titian Committee by Iain Pears in exchange. We also enjoyed some apples which someone had kindly left out with instructions to 'help yourselves' Thank you!

This afternoon we took a tour around some of our local red telephone box libraries/book exchanges, releasing books as we went, carefully dodging the showers!

Well, of course I came home with as many books as I left behind …. it seems only fair when they’re called exchanges …. and I can never resist a BookCrossing sticker …. :-)

I don't know whether this is my Thing but I'll certainly give it a go!

Thanks and greetings -Hazel-

I didn't know what to expect - but thoroughly enjoyed it!
I grew quite fond of this Swedish Victor Meldrew and his motley collection of friends and neighbours!

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

Taking Christmas and New Year Greetings into the Midlands (more or less)!

Well over a million people around the world give their books a unique BookCrossing IDentity number (BCID) before sending them out to find new readers. Since the start of the scheme in April 2001 more than eleven million such books have been put into circulation. This is one of them!

Our hope is that we can track the progress of our books once they've left our hands - and that's possible if finders like you visit the website, key in the BCID and leave a comment, however long or short. It's fun, it doesn't have to cost anything, although the site always appreciates donations towards running costs, and you can remain anonymous if you wish. You don't have to join but if you do you'll be able to number and track your own books!

A friend posted this to me. Looking forward to reading it. What's not to love about a grumpy old man? Like the postcard from Yorkshire.
