The Wish List
5 journalers for this copy...
A book that I recently acquired to help me with my next 101 things in 1001 days list.
Some of the items on this list are pretty unreasonable (have a child that doesn't require corrective orthodontia), and some aren't even things I'd wish for (get a walk-on part in my favorite soap opera). But I appreciate the chance to read through this book and see if there are things I can add to my own wish list (aka 101 Things in 1001 Days or my long-term bucket list).
I will be making check marks in purple for ones I have already completed. I will be making slashes in purple for ones I'll add to my personal lists.

This book is one long list of things to do. It was nice to be able to read through it and check off things I'd done as well as mark things I wanted to do. However, there are a lot of blank "fill it in yourself" lines that were unnecessary for me. There were a LOT Of things that can no longer be done (like be in the audience for The Tonight Show with David Letterman). There were a number of things that I had no interest in at all (like things to do with Newt Gingrich). There were some things that are pretty impossible (like time traveling back to see a specific historical event). There were some things that were incorrect (like visiting the place where Hamilton killed Burr when, in fact, it was Burr who killed Hamilton). And there were some repeats (learn to play the clarinet was there twice, getting wicker furniture was there twice).
But my favorite part of reading this book was that Six read it before me, and I got to learn about things she did and wanted to do!

Taking this to a BCinDC meetup so it can find a new reader!
I checked off the stuff I've done with a green pen. Some strange things in here.
I also noticed some duplicates, but I didn't expect "swing on a trapeze" to show up twice on the same page!

Passing this along as a local bookring.
I've had this book for a long time - totally admit that as I'm clearing my bookshelves I'm finding these local bookrings which seemed to stop with me. Checking off those things I've done in hot pink and sharing with the rest of the group when I'm done.
I've been picking through this book for the past several months and just finished. I'll offer it up to the BC in DC crowd. It was fun going through the list - I was surprised how many things I had done in a few areas and of course, a huge list of stuff I still want to do.
Journal Entry 9 by 6of8 at -- Mail or by hand-rings, RABCK, meetings, etc, Virginia USA on Wednesday, January 27, 2021
When I was on book circulation rounds last week I picked this up from Ixion to circulate among others in the local group.
Passed this book over to Zippy for her enjoyment when she gets around to it.

Thanks for the surprise mask wearing, socially distanced visit and books drop off from friend and fellow BC'er "6" aka "6of8". 😷
Just looking at the previous journal entries it appears I'm going to have to come up with another ink color to mark with.
Per KateKintail's entry #3 re: Newt Gingrich,ug, no favorite human of mine. I would never want to do anything with Newt either but I have to say I have seen him and his 3rd wife Callista at the Washington National Opera in the years before she got that plum appointment as US ambassador to the Holy See by the 45th to Rome. He and Callista R definitely opera buffs. I'm sure they got to see some good opera in the last 4 yrs. I do love Rome.

I decide not to enter my picks on the wishlist after all. A lot of the stuff in the book I have no wish to do...

Zippy handed this back to me and I didn't get any interest from the two Bookcrossers who haven't read it when I was making my rounds. I have a friend visiting from out of town this week and I will offer it to her.
