A 60-year old formerly successful photographer with a shaky bank balance rents out her NY apartment and heads off for the woods in NY state where she lives in a dilapidated wooden hut. A thoughtful and emotional read. The author has a knack of inserting short phrases that you could almost miss if you were reading quickly but they are so observant and pertinent that they really hit home.

This author was completely new to me; I would like to read more of her works.
