Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil
8 journalers for this copy...
I found this is the thrift store last week, and was going to release it in the wild - but then I saw that kayters was going to buy another copy to continue the ray she started and which has stalled. I'm on the ray, further down the list, but this one is due to go to Ilios next.
I'm going to PM kayters with the BCID so that she can move the shipping list over here.

Here is the book ray order for this book. Please PM the next person in line for their address when you are ready to release the book to them. If they do not respond within three days, PM them again. If they do not respond within a week of your first message, PM the person after them and contact me. I keep my book rays open unless they get too unwieldy, so the order may change (I try to keep it geographically sensible.)

Mailed to Ilios yesterday. Long live this bookray!
Got it in the mail today, with 3 other bookrings/rays! Good thing that I'm having a 3-and-1/2-day weekend starting today! :o) I'll have time to tackle my TBR bookring pile! :oD
Thanks to kernow8 for keeping this ray going!

Sorry for the delay... Got overwhelmed with several books at once. Well, I really enjoyed this book, and I think the author did a great job at intertwining the many characters that compose this picture of Savannah. I got really curious about this city, especially because this is a non-fiction book. I hope one day I'll be able to go over there and see with my own eyes all those beautiful houses and learn a little bit more about the characters who inhabited them.

Received in yesterday's mail. Will start tonight and hope to have back in the mail by Friday of this week.
I received this book today in the mail and opened the package to instantly realize I've read this book before! LOL. BUT, since I remember liking it, I will read it again. I love Savannah and remember this being a neat mystery.
I read this book several years ago, and really liked it. Since then I've been to Savannah a couple times when on vacation in Hilton Head and so am vaguely familiar with some of the places mentioned in the book. I really like the book, not really sure why. I guess because it's non-fiction and it's a neat look into the lives of real people. Will contact the next in line and send it on!
This arrived in Gilbert about a week ago. Sorry so late in journaling it in. Looking forward to reading it.
Oh so much better than the movie. I absolutely adored the characters in this book. When Chablis showed up at the black deb ball, I was roaring. What a wonderfully written description of an eccentric city and characters!
Will mail when I have confirmation from Caligula03 that she is ready to receive.

The book has arrived unexpectedly but most welcomedly. Will read as soon as I can.
I really enjoyed this book. The fluid prose and lucious descriptions had me forgetting that I was reading non-fiction.

I just got this in the mail today. I have two books ahead of this one, I will try and read them as fast as I can and then get started on this book. I loved the movie and I can hardly wait to read the book and pick up other stuff the movie missed.
I am soooo sorry that I had this book this long. I have experienced many life changing events in the past two months that took time away from reading. Anyway, I am finally finished this book.
I must go and visit Savannah now. It sounds very quirky and interesting. My favorite story in here is the one where a woman pulls out her gun and said; "One day I will shoot a man. I asked my husband if I could shoot him, just in the toe, nothing big." Hehehehehe, that just makes me laugh. She wants to see what it is like to shoot a man. Very quirky indeed. Now to let the next person know I am finished and send it off.
I loved the movie as well.
