As a teacher, I was curious about this book as soon as I found it during my workout at Elmwood Fitness Center. Because it is a children's novel, it took me two days to get through it. This is a book I would highly recommend to felloe teachers as well as parents. It is a story about a foster child trying to find her way back to her mother. Once she finds herself back in her mothers life she struggles to find ways to get back to her foster home! It is a great book to open childrens' eyes to the idea that all children come from different backgrounds. GREAT book that deserves the Newbery Honor it has received!
