I didn't really know what to expect from this book (I did know that a movie had been made, but I haven't watched that yet), but I liked it. Despite the Christmas theme, it was a bit "rough" here and there, with quite mean characters (but maybe that makes for a good contrast with the characters that are sweet and likeable), but it was an enjoyable Christmas read.
