After reading "The cat who came for Christmas", I have been very keen to get my hands on this one. (Still looking for 2nd book of the trilogy "The cat and the Curmudgeon" .)
I'm looking so forward to reading this!!

ooops! This book got kinda buried in my Mt TBR. I have come about having a second copy. So I will make this one AVL and make sure another reader gets it. Sorry for allowing it to languish on my bookshelf!

Taken from the Cat Bookbag. I'm sure I'll enjoy it. I've read The Cat Who Came for Christmas and The Cat and the Curmudgeon, and enjoyed them. In fact, I think I have copies available to go into the bookbag. That will be a good swap.

And so we bid goodbye to Polar Bear. Tears sprang to my eyes as I read about him being unable to jump & falling on his face - it is so hard to see such a dignified animal failing. I agree with Ingrid Newkirk: "Damn them for dying so young!", but I wouldn't be without the joy they bring in life.

Except for the final chapter, this book is more about Amory than Polar Bear & as such I found it a bit tedious in parts, but I'm glad to have read the final book in Polar Bear's trilogy.

This was the oldest book in my TBR shelf - almost 10 years! - so I daresay it was time to get it read. I'm sure dee831 & libertine101 are surprised to hear from it after all these years. Sigh! So many books...
