I was half asleep when my boyfriend came in from the Social club and woke me up by pushing this book in my face. It's rare that he brings me books as he thinks I have way to many. I took the book and put it on the floor and drifted back to sleep. In the morning he explained that the Social Club had a bookshelf and one of the guys he was with had put this book in it.
I've never read Stephen Fry before so this will be a new author for me.

From how this book starts out with the soppy love letters between Ned and Portia, it took quite the unexpected turn. I did not see that coming at all. This did turn out to be my favourite part of the book though, I really liked the relationship Ned and Babe built.
When Ned suddenly finds himself free and hellbent on revenge, I just wasn't as keen. I understand why he wanted revenge and everyone deserved it but I just didn't feel like it was really Ned. Also seemed very over the top. Not a bad read, I would certainly read another book by Stephen Fry.
