Hercule Poirot's quiet supper in a London coffee house is interrupted when a young woman confides to him that she is about to be murdered. She is terrified, but begs Poirot not to find and punish her killer. Once she is dead, she insists, justice will have been done.

Later that night, Poirot learns that three guests at the fashionable Bloxham Hotel have been murdered, a cufflink placed in each one's mouth. Could there be a connection with the frightended woman? While Poirot struggles to put together the pieces of the puzzle, the murderer prepares another hotel bedroom for a forth victim...

In the hands of bestselling author Sophie Hannah, Poirot plunges into a mystery set in 1920s London - the first time the guardians of Dame Agatha's legacy have approved a brand new novel featuring the legendary Belgian detective and his littel grey cells.

The book came with me to Sicily (where I started to read it) and Hungary (where I almost finished it) and now I finally have erad the book. Amazingly the book could have been written by Agatha Christie, as the writing and Characters very much are described in the typical A.Christie way. Also the solution to the mystery is outlined as Poirot would have done it in other books.
I do not want to spoil the thrill of reading the book, however I want to say, that the probability of solving the problem as reader is similarly small as with any other H.Poirot mystery. There are too many small hints and side notes, that one does not take into account until one reads about them again, while Poirot solves the problem...
I can recommend the book to A.Christie fans as rather authentic.
