Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas

I don't remember where I heard about Tom Robbins, but I bought this book at Books-a-Million in Lakeland, Florida not long after I did. That was a nice summer. I was in between schools and crashing at my parents' house. 2003. Anyway. This book is fun to read. It can get you thinking and its protagonist is a not-particularly-sympathetic stockbroker who is still fun to follow around. Although this was the first Robbins I read, I've since read almost all of his books and just re-read this, and you start to see some common themes. Am I the only one who thinks most of his male characters seem really similar as they teach the female main character how to live? I don't know. I'm not in college anymore and this book isn't as revolutionary as it seemed at the time. I'll always think of it fondly, but it no longer needs any shelf space in my home.
