I found the voyage into another culture very worthwhile. Since we are considering the immigrant situation in this country, understanding the Mexican culture portrayed in this book will help me understand the people who are moving here as well as the ones that already live here.

I used to teach "House on Mango Street in Chicago." My high school freshmen loved the book, especially the Latino ones.

I left this book at the beginning of my Yoga by the Sea class at 8 AM. It was gone by the time that I finished class at 9:30. I wrapped it in plastic because I thought it might be there over night, but obviously someone took it before it got dewy outside.
