For some reason, 'Generation X' author Douglas Copeland is very popular, but I have yet to figure out why. This cult novel is trite and very badly written, and its attempt at young-person-speak just makes the characters all sound intensely irritating. The plot is not particularly profound or spooky, and the overall effect left me hopeing that I never meet anyone like DC or his characters.
However, I'd be happy to hear a second opinion!
