I love this series and so am really not the best person to comment. This is one of the rare new books that I buy, usually all my books are 2nd hand. I really enjoyed this book, I read it really quickly and have agreed for it to be added to the Rivers of London book spiral. Sadly, although it was new when I got it, it has been in the wars already, having had a chunk out of the cover removed by my hamster and I spilt something on it, however still fine to go wandering around the world

The book arrived today! I'll admit I was a bit worried, with the epidemic going around and the postal system partially shutting down here... But in China at least, things are slowly going back to normal. I hope that all fellow bookcrossers are all safe and healthy!

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
The book got stalled a bit in China, but it's finally back on the road! The post office said though that seeing the current situation, they couldn't garantee a time frame... Hope it'll arrive safely in the hands of the next participant.

It was faster than I thought, considering that not all mail is moving at the moment. Apparently the connection between China and Finland is almost normal. :) So the book is safe with me and I'll continue with the series asap. Thanks BaiLong!

The series is still going strong! I was especially happy for Molly and delighted to find Peter reading The Silmarillion - well, he didn't have a choice but still he seemed to enjoy it. And the way London's long history is brought to the story, again I might add. Can't wait for the next volume!

Yay! This has arrived safely in the snowy Alps, and I'll read it and the next soon! Thanks so much for sending - as ever, brilliant stamps and a lovely card. Do check the address before posting the next. All the very best - thanks for making it available and thanks for sending.

The next in the Rivers of London series (although Goodreads seems to have shifted the name of the series to Peter Grant..?), this is here thanks to Lamilla's bookcrossing spiral. I had received The Hanging Tree as a present years ago, but as I saw it was sixth in the series, I hesitated to pull it off the TBR mountain range. Thanks to this spiral I was able to start at the beginning and be completely won over. In fact, I gave both my children (living in London and Brooklyn, respectively) the box set, although it only had the first six, I think.
This one leads Peter to closely engage with Martin Chorley, Lesley May and, to a certain extent, Punch. The Folly is experiencing higher traffic, but that is all to the good. I appreciated the dive into Roman London. (Londinium). I continue to vastly enjoy these stories and look forward to the next, which is already here. I hope to be able to send the two together, and hope this time the parcel will reach its destination without problems. Thanks so much for making these available and for sending (and such wonderful stamps on the parcels, too!)

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
As there were problems with the delivery of this spiral last time, I gave this and the next in the series to my daughter to post from London when she returned at the beginning of the month. Now, just after quarantine she was able to go to the post, and hopefully these books will wend their way successfully to Ireland. Enjoy!
The book arrived safely on my mailbox today! Thanks for sending it! I will start reading it as soon as possible.

Finished this one today. Enjoyable as always, although my memory is a bit patchy on what happened in the previous books.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Travelling to Mcsar.
The book is here. Thank you very much for sending. Looking forward to reading it.
Like dutch-book, I was a bit patchy with details of previous plotlines. I knew the general direction and bits and pieces came back to me as the story went on. As always, the book was very entertaining and a lot of fun to read. Still a big fan of Peter Grant.
Finally get the chance to drop in the mail. Going to catflap by surface mail.
