Well the first chapter just about killed me to get through. I hated it. It seemed like the whole book was going to be a rant against Bush. I don't like Bush, but I also don't like people who just yell and scream rather than have an intelligent debate. The rest of the book however, made some good points and a humorous read. With the exception of the chapter written by God, which just seemed a bit off to me, I actually enjoyed the book and it gave me more to think about. I liked the fact that he had no problem admitting that the liberal side had many faults, most who take sides never admit the problems that their side has, rather they spend all the energy picking apart the other. I really liked the section on how to deal with your conservative in-laws. That'll come in handy.
I am not sure who made all the little notes in the margins, I found them a bit distracting as I was never quite sure what they were hinting at. But Moore makes some very good points, and at times, is a little scary.
I'm sending this off this week as soon as I figure out where it's going.

Well, the book has vanished into thin air. I'm about to launch a replacement copy. Emailed each of the ringees.

Not vanished! On its way as soon as I contact the next person. no words will communicate enough regrets - i've been gone for work, for an unexpectedly long time, and the last patch with no computer access. My deepest apologies, and its in the mail asap.

As for the book - Although I know Michael Moore rubs some people the wrong way... I think he is both stirring up critical conversation, and presenting facts that a lot of people would like to forget. Now we just have to talk to every human being we know and get them to vote in november.

Rec'd in the mail today. Will add it to my TBR books - it is currently 5th in line (where DID all of these rings come from all of a sudden!!). I will journal again when I start reading. My goal is to hold onto this book for no longer than 6 weeks.

Well -- this book still hasn't made it to the top of Mt TBR, so I'm sending it on unread. My mom has bought herself a copy, so I will get that from her when she's done. This copy is now on it's way to EnidQ.

Thanks for the bookring alarob!

Well, it's been more than three years. I guess it's time to ring down the curtain on this book. Sorry, folks.

Journal Entry 12 by lostbookisland on Monday, September 29, 2008
This book has washed ashore at the Lost Book Island after not being heard from for many months. This new arrival will be shown to a room and be allowed a bit of rest before being introduced to the many fun things to do here at the island.

All around there are books sipping cool drinks under shady palms while other books participate in a wide variety of beach sports. There is plenty of sand, surf and sun here for all of the lost and wayward books to enjoy.

It is hoped that very soon a new journal entry will come to rescue this book from the island and send it back out into the BookCrossing world so that it may continue on its journey. It is hoped that the new journal entry will tell all the interested parties where this book has been this long time and where it will be traveling to next.
