Sorry for the delay in journaling, it's been a bit hectic!! Thank you so much for the two books from my wishlish and for the lovely chocolate and cushion it's very much appreciated :-) x

3 Jan 17 - I was introduced to Barbara Kingsolver a number of years ago when a good friend of mine gave me The Poisonwood Bible for my birthday as it was her favourite book. This is now my fourth read by this author and enjoyed it just as much as the others. It's hard to describe what this book is about as it covers so many topics. To be honest I probably could have read this quicker but I was reluctant to pick it up as it would mean finishing it sooner.

P.s still got the Christmas cushion, it came out again this year :-)

The book has landed. Looking forward to reading it, though animals seem to play a very small - if any - part in it.

I have tagged Chania with this book and gave it a try, but to be honest, it was not up my alley. I can be a bit choosy sometimes. However, I found some Christmas decorations between the pages, so it appears they've come all the way from Plum-crazy. Will put them into good use next Christmas!

Oh yes, another great book by Kingsolver. I've read most (7) of her books, and so far Prodigal Summer is my favourite, but I've loved them all really. She is one of my favourite writers, I think.

--- I am joining the Finnish "around the world"-challence with this book, and that is why I add here my experiences of the country in this book.
So, Nigaragua - maybe a bit to extreme travel destination for me at the moment. But would definetively interest me.
