Buchanan's Stolen Railway

From back cover:
"You know a man named Buchanan?"
"Ev'body knows Buchanan."
"I want him killed on sight. I want the Apaches wiped out, no witnesses.
Anyone else who gets in the way -- you know what to do."
Buchanan had ridden the big black horse a long way.
Now he was high in the New Mexico mountains on his way to help his friend
Longbo save his mine from thieves and bankruptcy.
Colin Masters was the kind of thief nobody dared to tangle with.
He was a powerful man. A millionaire.
He wanted Longbo's mine and he didn't care how he got it.
He rounded up a gang of hired killers and began to take Longbo apart.
Then Buchanan showed up....

I haven't read a Western in years but when I came across this book on Mt. Toobie and realized that I've had it for 30-something years ... well, I decided that its time had come.
This book was part shoot-'em-up-bang-bang and part romance novel with mining, a train, and baseball (of all things!) thrown in for good measure.
It was cute but I've no desire to search out other books in this series.
