You’ve just found a very special book! This is a book on a journey and I’d like to welcome you to Bookcrossing!

The gentleman on the label is my dad, Carl, who we lost in 2014. He’s the reason I’m such a reader. He hand drew me flash cards to learn words so that I was already reading by the time I hit Kindergarten. Reading has become an integral part of who I am, and I thank him so much for giving me this gift so early in life.

The pictures on the label are from his college days, age 22 in 1963, and again at age 63, at my wedding in 2005. I thought this would be a neat way to share his memory, and our shared love of reading.
