My Year of Cooking Dangerously: The film is written and directed by Nora Ephron and stars Amy Adams as Julie and Meryl Streep as Julia. The book is the story of Julie Powell's attempt to revitalize her marriage, restore her ambition, and save her soul by cooking all 524 recipes in Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Volume I, in a period of 365 days.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Release #153 for 2015 ...
I enjoyed the movie, hope I enjoy the book.
Hmm! Not as good as I expected. Interesting & entertaining in parts, but it didn't grab me, & I found Julie's antics quite tedious. The movie depicts these people as much more likeable than they are in this book. Julia & Paul have a minimal role in the book, whereas I think Julia's antics on screen were delightful. I know one shouldn't really compare the two media but it's difficult not to, & I wouldn't have read this book if not for the movie.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Left in the library.
Very enjoyable read. I agree with other journalers that Julie`s persona can be rather annoying but she got to me anyway! Found in the street library in Hazelbrook. Will be returning to the street library.
