I recently visited these places (Goliad, Coletto Creek, etc...) and thought it would be a timely read. Unfortunately the book wasn't as engaging as I thought it would be. Rather made this intense and dynamic part of history dry and emotionless. AND the book isn't really that long - the last 120+ pages are actually part of the Appendix!
