Jame Swift has one priority in quiet Beaumont, South Carolina: running the local newspaper. Romance runs second. But with the arrival of her silent partner, the notoriously mysterious and sexy Maximillian Holt, Jamie's life gets shaken up. Max claims he's here to give his brother-in-law a vote of confidence. A former wrestler, Frankie Fontana's now taking his shots in the political ring. Beaumont could use a new mayor with scruples, but what it gets is a crime --- and what Jamie gets is a story that's taking her for a ride on the wild side, complete with two assassins, a washed-up stripper, and an insane poacher. Between a spray of bullets and a fast getaway, could it get any more romantic --- or dangerous? Max and Jamie are betting their lives on a long shot.

Bookray Rules
1. Reading has to be relaxing, I find. So I'm not going to set a rule that you have to finish the book within one month or within three weeks. But, of course it's not preferable that the book will stall somewhere. Please keep in mind others are waiting to read the book so keeping it for two months is not appropriate either. If you don’t think you will be able to read the book in a timely manner, please let me know. I can move you further down the list, if necessary.
2. When the book arrives, please let us know that you received it, by making a journal entry.
3. Start reading :-) When you're more than halfway through the book, PM the next person for their address.
4. When you've finished the book, make another journal entry with your thoughts.
5. Release the book to the next person on the list.
6. The last person on the list may release the book in the manner of their choosing!
7. Have Fun & Happy Reading!

I got this one in the mail yesterday. I think I'm reading them backwards. Oh well....so far I like them!
Well, I am reading them backwards, but it works out okay. This one was pretty good. I wasn't sure about it at first because I don't think this series is as good as the Stephanie Plum series. But, once I got into it, it was funny and turned out to be a fast, fun read. Deedee and Beenie are hilarous! Especially when Beenie has his accident! Thanks for sharing sharalsbooks!
Mailing this out to Danesnboxers on 05/05/05! Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Just got this in the mail today with Full Speed! I'm looking forward to getting to them both very soon!
This was such a cute story! I love Janet Evanovich's style of writing - it's so quick to read, and so witty. I agree that it's not quite as much fun as the Stephanie Plum books, but I'm still going to enjoy reading this series too!
Mailed to CheriePie on 6/27 with Full Speed.

Received this one, along with Full Speed today. I've got a few other books here to get to before these, including Full House, which is the first book in this series, before starting on these two. (Apparently, it's not really necessary to read these in order, but since I aquired a copy of Full House from PaperBackSwap, I figured I'd read them in order after all.)
This is the second book of Janet Evanovich's Full series.
This was a quick but fun read. Billie and Nick are no longer primary characters in these later stories, and they are only referred to briefly, with regards to raising Max from 16 on. This book also contained more of a mystery than Full House, as I believe all of Evanovich's later books do. I believe the next book in the series, Full Speed, picks up where this one leaves off, with Max and Jamie heading to Tennessee to try to find the preacher and get some answers from him about the corruption that was unearthed in Beaumont in Full Tilt.
I'll hang onto this and send it along with the next two books to Faithful-Reader when I'm done. (Alternately, if she prefers, I'll send them to her singly, or the first two... I emailed to ask which option she'd prefer as I don't mind sending them in a couple shipments if she wants to start reading them immediately.)

I have all three books in the book ray now and will get on them right away.
Thanks for including me in this ray !! I just love Evanovich's style of writing and her ability to inject humor into her books. I did enjoy this series - it was a great change of pace though I think overall, I prefer the Stephanie Plum series. I have mailed this book to brwnigrl on Monday.
