In the Skin of a Lion

Only Ondaatje could write a novel about a water-treatment plant and make it both mysterious and poetic! This is one of those books that people will either love or absolutely despise--I can't imagine a middle ground. As the precursor to The English Patient, In the Skin of a Lion is a must read for fans of the film, and for fans of his poetic prose, this is one of Ondaatje's finest works.

After a miserable evening being treated for heat sickness, I left this little book in the Doctor's work area! It made me feel better instantly.

If you could believe this, found it while cleaning up my bookshelf. Since its a habit with my family members to pick up books often from bookshops, friends, libraries or pavement second hand booksellers, nobody could quite remember where it came from. It was when i checked up the journal entries here that i find it was released three years back in Canada. Right now, it's right here next to my keyboard waiting for me to read and release it. but i would sure like to know how it traveled from British Columbia, Canada to Bombay,India.
