Chosen by the Bride Finder, a man blessed with amazing insight, Madeline Breton has come to Cornwall to meet her new husband, the enigmatic Anatole St. Leger. But her dream of happiness soon diffuses in his overpowering shadow. Anatole knows only too well the legacies that to him have been more curse than gift. But as Madeline embarks on an odyssey both otherworldly and undeniably real, she and her husband fall hopelessly in love-until she sees a haunting vision of murder and a terrifying enemy emerges to threaten both their lives .…

What is a bookring and how do I get in on it?(thanks go to PHC for her detailed instructions which helped me greatly in understanding the process)

A bookring begins when a bookcrosser decides to send a book on a controlled journey. A list of interested readers is set up and the book passes from one reader who reads it and then sends it along to the person next in line. Eventually the book ends up back in the hands of the original owner which, for this book, will be me, nikel27. A reader can join the bookring at any time unless I decide to close it (if that happens I'll make a note that the ring has closed). Just private message (PM) me and let me know where you are located (city, state & country) and if you are able to ship internationally.

What should I do when I receive the book?
Log on to bookcrossing and type in up journal entry so I know it reached you okay. Then private message (PM) the next person in line to get their mailing address so there will be no waiting once you finish the book, if they do not respond within 10 days PM the next reader in line (and me so I know they are no longer interested). Please read the book within 30 days and when complete add another journal entry with your comments. Tell me the truth :) Was it the best thing you ever read or a complete and utter waste of time? I love to talk to books, the good, the bad and ugly (ugly can sometimes be lots of fun to dissect), you can write one sentence or a hundred. When finished
What if I'm the last in line PM me and I'll send you my mailing address.

Thanks for participating!

Please PM me if would like to be added to the list or have any questions about the book or the bookring!

Yay! I just got this in the mail today. I'm very excited to read it. (I'm also very excited about the Bob Esponjo sticker that was on the outside of the mailing envelope. I cut it out to give to my sister. It will make her very happy.) Anyway, I'm about 2/3s of the way through my current book, so I will be starting this very soon.

I read this for the letter "C" in the 2005 author challenge, to read a book by one author I'd never read before for each letter of the alphabet.

This was pretty good. Just a fun little bit of mind candy. Parts of it were very silly, and I must admit the sex scenes did nothing for me, but Ms. Carroll crafted a very creative story and left me with lots to think about. I'm quite curious about Prospero, and wonder if he'll ever be the star of a novel.

I shall send this on Wednesday to AceofHearts in Canada.

I enjoyed this romantic/fantasy type book. There was great chemistry between Madelaine and Anatole. Loved the twists and turns and especially loved the family ghost

Received from International Trading Site. I will read it again and pass it on. This book is on my "keeper" list but always seem to pass them on.

The Bride Finder is the first in a series of a Father and two brothers. I believe this is the best in the series.

Anatole and Madeline are very different personalities. The descriptions of how each one thinks and arrive at "love", sets this book apart from most historical "paranormal" books.
