One of the two books I shamelessly stole from the book buffet. Thanks shnedwadrs and mum, I've been meaning to read it for quite a while. Cheers!
Brilliant writing and despicable torture scenes, a book not for the faint of heart yet wonderfully executed (pun not intended). The redundancy that shapes most episodes is what impressed me technically. Well, sometimes the unreliable narrator. While it's very hard to grasp which scenes are real and which are hallucinating, the author makes a valid point in an interview about this (see below links).
