Wisconsin in the early 1900's is the setting for this book. A young mother drowns in the icy lake and her sister, daughter, and husband are left behind. The story unfolds dramatically, as little by little, the reader is exposed to the tragic secrets that led to her death.

I just finished reading this book and really enjoyed it. Although I was able to guess what would happen, I still enjoyed it and had a hard time putting the book down.

I enjoyed this book a lot, a great plot and lots of intricate character relationships. I ended up feeling rather sorry for most of the characters.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to read it!
