I find Caitlin Moran infuriating and hilarious in equal measure, so I am quite looking forward to this, in a masochistic kind of way.

Well, it's definitely funny. Within a couple of pages, I was helpless with laughter at Moran's use of an extended metaphor involving Chewbacca attacking some ducks to describe a review she once did of Ned's Atomic Dustbin. There are several more laugh-out-loud moments to be had here. There are also some frustratingly half-baked bits of political theory which are more annoying than enlightening. Moran herself strikes me as the sort of ditzy, consciously quirky person who would drive me absolutely mad if I ever met her in person. I gave her an extra mark out of ten, though, because I can sympathise with her habit of making a tit out of herself when she meets people she admires. I'm exactly the same in that respect...
