A very entertaining book. The author always titles her books with the name of a herb. Hangman's Root is another name for catnip, so the book is about cats, among other things.
Darn! I bid on a huge box of cozy mysteries on Ebay, and this was in it..well, it's not like I don't have anything else to read ;-)

Received today - thanks! This looks to be exactly the type of book I enjoy.
Although I enjoyed this book, it's a strange combination of animal rights, a cat collector and herbs. All in all, it's a pretty good mystery with lots of intriguing twists and turns in an interesting, well-crafted plot.

A enjoyed Hangman's Root from cover to cover. It sucked me right in. The mystery has enough red herrings to be interesting. I didn't figure out who committed the crime although I did figure out the why.

This was my first China Bayles msytery, but definetly not my last. Very enjoyable mystery with several twist and turns to the plot. I would never had guess the murderer!

A very good mystery by a new author for me. I will be reading more of her books. There were a lot of twists in this plot, kept you guessing. I especially liked the cattery and the woman who ran it. A very novel and charitable run for animals in need. Giving to blackadder75 today.
