I have never heard of this writer, but I like the cover and murders. I'm looking forward reading this book.

I've watched the Miss Fisher tv series and enjoyed it, so I wanted to see what the original books are like.

I liked the book a lot. There was jazz, murder, blackmail, bad relatives, flying, remembering the horrors of war, a hermit at the mountains, and of course the great and glamorous Phryne Fisher herself. Who could ask for more of a mystery novel? Well, perhaps some more of that delicious flirting between Phryne and Jack that I've seen in the tv series..?
Anyway, thanks again for the book! I saw it on Appelsiini's wishlist so I'll give it to her next.

This was my first Phryne Fisher mystery, although I have seen the TV serie and enjoyed it, too. I love it how strong and intelligent woman Phryne Fisher is and how she always keeps her cool. Very interesting lady! I have other PF mysteries in my book shelf waiting already.
