Rita Mae Brown oddball mystery. Very "cozy", and is often the case with these, where there is a need for something to offset the sickly sweetness of the main setting, there is an educational component. In this case, you learn a lot about the fox hunting scene in the rural southeastern US. And the proper way to refer to hounds.
