I saw Amy Tan last year at a Unique Lives experience in Vancouver, BC. Have read a couple of her books before and am looking forward to reading this one!

What a good read.... in just 3 days! First day it was easy to put down, but by the 3rd it wasn't!

An amazing story of two sisters who share the same father: Kwan, the inimitable story-telling sister from China, and Olivia from San Francisco in an estranged relationship with her husband, Simon. Insights into the old world of China (as far back as the 1860's) and the present world in the US. A journey back to China and revelations about ghosts and love and hope. Awesome....read it!

I was about to release it to the wild but a friend, dr-rockett, wanted it so I've passed it along.

My first Book Crossing catch! I'll read it and pass it on or release it into the wild.

Got it from bjccatalyst and will pass it along to sea-side-girl .

Great book. Second and Third chapters were indeed hard to wade though ... then I couldn't put it down. Good read!
