Pride and Prejudice

Ok I absolutely loved this book. The whole scenario between Mr.Darcy and Elizabeth just gets you so into the book as you hope they can both get over their intial feelings for each other and see what's really there.
I actually saw the movie Bridget Jones' Diary before reading this book and I did not realize how much of Pride and Prejudice was in that movie (especially the fact that Cloin Firth played Mr.Darcy in both Pride and Prejudice and Bridget Jones' Diary).
It seems that everything in that book can be understood by people even in today's society as they go through the process of finding a husband (which I think is what Bridget Jones' Diary prooves)

I'm taking a European History course and this novel is a requirement. Although it started out as "homework", it soon became one of my favourite reads. Austen causes you to fall in love with the characters, and laugh out loud at others. She makes a good critique of the class structure, but manages to mix in a love story that kept me from putting the novel down!
