A great suspenseful novel. Once in awhile I like to read a book that gets my heart racing and my nerves all aflutter. This is one of those kinds of books. I really liked the characters of Galen and Elena and especially her son Barry who helped break up some of the stressful moments for me. Elena Kyler born in Columbia and daughter of a deceased rebel fighter and ex American Mercenary seeks help from the US DEA Ben Forbes to help bring down the ruthless druglord Rico Chavez. Forbes enlists the help of Bondian Sean Galen and together they help Elena escape out of Columbia. Elena and Galen are than thrown together and find themselves on the run from the psychopath who want to destroy Elena. A masterful story full of suspense and betrayal and a little romance to add to the mix.

I also highly recommend Ugly Duckling also written by Johansen.
