Oh dear..... lots of people loved this book, but I tried really hard, really I did!
I found it very very slow and even say the 10th page will still going on about the 1st page... and I thought the story wasn't very original. I also couldn't believe that Eddie was still hankering after Marion who was in her late 70s.
I had expected some humour.. there was only a smidgin...
I did like the style of writing but he could have livened up the pace. I did find it a blokey type of book, well it was written by a guy. He did go on about women more as bodies than people.
4/10 for the style only.
I am so mean.. and yes I am riddled with guilt but I couldn't say I enjoyed it... but others might..
