This is an odd book. The author of Issac's Storm obviously wanted to write a best-seller on a serial killer at the 1894 World's Fair held in Chicago. He just couldn't do it. Instead, what he writes is an amazing account of the circumstances if the building of the last great Victorian World Fair, and the socio-economic times it was set in. Oh, and also a serial killer. What captures your attention and wonder however is the first ferris wheel, and many other wonders.
