Forensic Detective: How I Cracked the World's Toughest Cases
3 journalers for this copy...
I first read this book some years ago, and when I came across this fair-condition softcover at the Goodwill store I picked it up for another release copy.
It contains decent information and a variety of case histories, with some unexpected tidbits: there's an anecdote about raccoon activity at the Body Farm that makes one look at the furry little beggars a bit differently {wry grin}. There are sections on the advances in ID procedures for military dead, a case where a partial mummy turned out to have been stolen from a family crypt, and a description of the efforts to identify victims after the attacks of 9/11.

I'm putting this in the Crime Scene bookbox. (See the bookbox journal here for mailing order.) The box will be on its way to its next stop on Monday. Hope it travels safely, and that someone enjoys the book!
I am taking this from the crime scene book box.
TBR by the end of the year and offered in the non-fiction VBB
A very interesting book. What a fascinating career, I wish I had chosen something like that. I would love to have that kind of knowledge and experience. He came about it in such an interesting way too. He was one of the fortunate ones who found his true life's work and passion. And I am glad to know that good work is being done to bring home our MIAs.
