I listened to this on a cross-country trip and really loved both the story and the audio production.

Although these tapes are part of my permanent collection, I am loaning them to Schmetterling for her listening enjoyment during her long commute.

I read this book about a month ago, so one would suppose that I would have a crystal-clear recollection of it, right? Sorry, wrong. Upon listening to the audio version I realise that there were large chunks of the book that my eyes must have passed over without reading. What is wrong with me? I think that's what comes from reading over Christmas in a house full of family.

I am very much enjoying listening to this; it's making my commute much more tolerable even though the time I spend in my car has been greatly reduced recently. (Really, that's a good thing.) So I have been bringing the tapes into the house and sneaking into my roommate's room and listening on his stereo. (Don't tell!) The best part: I am on the last tape of Book One of the trilogy, but the fun won't end there since I have the other two books on tape ready to go! Many thanks to my generous book-benefactor.
