I usually love Dean Koontz’s books, but found this one my least favorite so far. I tried two other times to read it and couldn’t get into it. I found that after I read about 40 pages it got better. That being said, I love his writing. Quotes like this gives the reader a taste of his genius—- “given a chance between adding a long column of sums and putting a collar on a porcupine, would have opted for the porcupine every time.”
