Smoochya says:

Subject: Emily's Glossary for People Who Haven't Been to Scotland

From: [email protected]

To: [email protected]

Faffing about: running around doing nothing. In other words, spending a month supposedly doing work experience on a Scottish sheep farm, but really spending days on Kilt Watch at the nearest castle.

Schottie: Scottish Hottie, also known as Ruaraidh, the subject of much drooling and first prize in the "Who Can Snog Him First" contest.

Mad schnoogles: the British way of saying big smoochy kisses. Will admit it sounds v. smart to say it that way.

V.: very. Using it abbreviated is coolio to the third power.

Bunch of yobbos: a group of mindless idiots. In Scotland, can also mean sheep. You can take it from me–there is nothing stupider than a sheep, especially when you're trying to make them take their liver medicine.

Stooshie: uproar, as in "If Holly thinks she can take Ruaraidh from me without causing a stooshie, she's out of her mind!"

Sheep dip: not an appetizer.

Starting today. This one should go quickly.

I finished this one and am currently composing my review (as I madly attempt to decifer my notes!) It was cute, not quite as good as My Life As A Snow Bunny but that was an together different sort of book. This one is much more madcap, over-the-top kind of funny with less character development. Still fun though.

I am so far behind in typing up my journal entries, sorry. Thankfully I jotted down some notes on a post-it note when I finished this book.

It was fun to continue along in the adventures of Emily. I liked that the setting was Scotland this time. Sounds like it is a really beautiful country. If I ever visit I don’t think I will try to herd sheep. :) Em just certainly kept me in stitches at time. The tanning lotion was one of my favorites parts. I have always been too chicken to ever try self-tanning lotion and now I know why. hehehe Maybe in the third book we will discover more about her underwear ghost! Love all the slang!

This will be off to shiznitchels very soon.

Since there was a hedgehog in the book I thought I would add a picture of Bramble. He was my friend's hedgie. He was an African pygmy hedgehog so is smaller than what Em would have seen.
