From the back:

Welcome to Nashville, Tennessee, Music City, U.S.A.--a place where music makers and fakers are all out for the same thing...

Eddie Long plans to become a country music star, but right now he's stuck touring the Mississippi casino circuit. While on the road, his wife becomes the victim of a serial killer. The emotional trauma leads Eddie to write the best song of his life. Now his dream is coming true.

Writer Jimmy Rogers wants to tell the life story of Nashville's newest sensation. But while researching Eddie's wife's murder, he unearths information that could ruin Eddie's burgeoning career--and make his own.

Jimmy's main squeeze, Megan, is a smart, talented, and popular radio personality in a tiny market. But she wants a faster way to Easy Street and she sees it in Eddie.

Soon, they're all planning to make a killing--one way or another. But, on Music Row, things don't always turn out as planned,,,,

I keep hearing what a funny guy Bill Fitzhugh is. They must be talking about the man and not his writing. I didn't find this novel amusing at all and it was so slow paced I used it for a sleep aid.

The story can't be too original because the entire time I was reading it, I kept thinking that I had read this story before. I read the whole thing to see if it ended as predictably as I thought it would. It did. I thought this book could have been at least 150 pages shorter.

Fitzhugh's other work will not be on my TBR list any time soon.

Arrived safely in Orlando. Thanks Alrescate.

I think I already mailed the Dorsey book to you...but I better double-check to make sure. There's no telling what may be lurking in the hills of Mt. Neverread.
